He has FINALLY ARRIVED!!!!

The day finally arrived for us!

Liam Howard Casey was born on Thursday April 23rd at 9:39 PM.

He was a whopping 9lbs, 7 oz, 22 inches long, with a 13 1/4 cm head!

We were admitted to the hospital at about 3:30 am on the 23rd, with my water breaking at 4:59 am that morning. We pushed for 2 hours at which point we were admitted for a C-section which went great.

We are all recovering as expected and getting as much sleep as we can.

As of now, he is a very happy boy who has no problems sticking his tongue out at you.

We have had quite a few visitors as of this point and look forward to him meeting the rest of his family.

We will continue to update the website as time permits.

I'm SOOOO BIG!
This is my favorite position and my best pouty face. My next favorite is sticking my tongue out. I've tried to curl my tongue at my cousin Nick. (Won't Papa be proud if I carry on the Bothum tradition!!)

Let the contractions continue

Well - as we mentioned earlier, our little boy is absolutely a Casey!
We have decided that he likes where he's at and wants to hang out for a while longer. We visited the hospital again on Sunday after intense contractions that were coming every 3 minutes to be able to enjoy the hospital setting for another couple of hours and be sent home with a "hopefully soon" and "we can't wait to see you again, he can't stay in there forever!".
I visited the Dr again today and he is hoping that I won't show up in his office for my next appointment on Friday. I guess we'll see what happens.
Wish we had better news, and could post pics of our little Liam - but I guess that will have to wait. Until later, wishing everyone the best!

The long week Continues!

I just got back from our doctors appointment and found out that we have made wonderful progression towards the delivery of our little boy. (I forgot to ask about an estimated weight).

There should be a new addition to the family by the end of this weekend (Dr is guessing we will be admitted to the hospital within the next 12 hours!!!!). It really hasn't sunk into my head that he will soon be here - but we will add pictures as soon as we can. So...... Continue to check back often!
Love Shawn, Nicole, and Very soon to be Liam!

Wow - What a week!

Well, Shawn and I have decided that he is offically a Casey.
STUBBORN & STRONG!!!!
This little boy doesn't seem to want anything to do with the real world (it's safe and comfy where he is you know).
The contractions are continuing (running every 10-15 minutes and getting stronger as they go).
We will be back at the doctors on Friday if he doesn't come by then to see how everything is progressing. (Doc says keep walking it's anytime now!!)
I am offically off the schedule at work due my contractions, so I am going insane at the house trying to take it easy and not overwork myself.
We will continue to update the blog so check back frequently.

Happy Easter everyone!

We hope that your day has been as good as our has been.
We started to have contractions today and found out that we are in Pre-labor so.... I guess only time will tell.
Check back often - we will continue to update the site as things happen :)

HAPPY EASTER & JOYOUS TIMES!!!!

How long until the day??

Well, time is starting to dwindle down as to when the little one will be born. We've been told a couple of different dates as of this time {13th, 17th, and 24th} - I guess only time will tell because spicy foods & pineapple aren't working for us (guess that's just an old wives tale!)

Things are still going really well with the pregnancy and I'm feeling as good as can be expected at this stage of the game while still working full time.
